About Your PIlot:
An active and continuously flying pilot for nearly 20 years, your pilot Tim Meehan holds USHPA T-3 (Tandem Instructor) and P-4 (Advanced) ratings.
A mountain pilot and vocal proponent for the sport and the organization, he is the local self-appointed ambassador of foot-launched flying. "I love to introduce new people to the sport share the joys of truly free flight."
Tim has enjoyed thousands of hours of air-time around (and above) Lookout Mountain in Golden over the past 20-years. He's flown paragliders and made friends at flying sites around the world.
Closer to home, he's flown professionally as a tandem instructor in Aspen, Glenwood Springs, Golden and Sun Valley, Idaho.
In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors for Able Pilot – a new USHPA chapter that has been organized to support adaptive hang gliding and paragliding flight. This year we are working to help persons with various disabilities experience the joys and confidence of flying.
